FLESHold was created by six 3rd year QUT interior design students as apart of "Changing Lanes", the Friday night launch party for Brisbane InDesign 2012. Inspired by Marina Abramovic and Ulay's performance art piece "Imponderabilia" (1977), FLESHold challenges the traditional notions of personal space and what it means to be a tactile human being. It is a comment on the “skin hunger” of contemporary society, developed as a result of a life bombarded with deceivingly disconnecting technology.
3 days to go...
Our lighting had arrived at LAD, so we now had all the components. Todays job was fixing and clustering pods and attaching the lighting. The day of the tszuj, as the girls had named it.
